Why is it hard to breathe through my nose?
Persistent nasal blockage is often structural: a deviated septum, collapsing nasal valves, enlarged turbinates or a previous injury. Allergies and sinus problems can also play a part and may need separate medical treatment.
Structural causes can be corrected with septoplasty, valve support grafts or turbinate reduction. Because the same structures shape the nose, function and appearance are planned together.
| Surgery time | About 1–2.5 hours |

| Anaesthesia | General anaesthesia |
| Approach | Internal, or open if combined with rhinoplasty |

Can I fix breathing and appearance at the same time?
Yes. Functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty are often combined in one operation.
Will surgery cure my allergies?
No. Surgery corrects structure; allergies need medical management.
Is breathing worse right after surgery?
Yes, for a week or so, due to splints and swelling. It improves as healing progresses.
Do I need CT?
ONYX uses 3D CT to plan both structure and airway.
How soon will I notice a difference?
Many patients notice better airflow once splints are out, with further improvement over weeks.
