What is a button nose?
A button nose is a small, short nose with a round, slightly upturned tip and a low bridge. It is common in East Asian faces and can make the face look younger but less defined.
Correction usually combines bridge augmentation, tip projection and a little lengthening, using a septal extension graft and your own cartilage, so the nose gains definition without looking sharp or artificial.

Button nose correction recovery

- Day 1–3 Swelling and some bruising; the tip feels firm and numb.
- Day 7 Splint and stitches removed; most patients are cleared to fly after this check.
- Week 2–4 Visible swelling fades and daily routines resume.
- Month 1–3 The tip still feels firm; avoid pressure, heavy glasses and impact.
- Month 6–12 Tip definition fully settles, especially with thicker skin.
Button Nose in Seoul: your questions answered.
Will my nose look much bigger?
The nose will be more defined and a little longer, but it is designed to stay in proportion with your face.
Is an implant needed?
Not always. The bridge can be raised with cartilage; a custom implant is an option for more height.
Which cartilage is used for the tip?
Septal cartilage is preferred; ear or rib cartilage may be added when more is needed.
Can filler give the same result?
Filler can add a little bridge height but cannot lengthen the nose or support the tip.
How long is recovery?
Most patients fly home after about 7–10 days; the tip settles over months.
